Colin Chee

Presently living in Melbourne, Colin Chee, is an independent filmmaker, photographer and also a new media designer.

His focus is contemporary screen art. Creativity and uniqueness are characteristics of his short films as well as his experimental videos. Chee's musical background and artistic approach are borne out in his experimental music videos.

During his experimentation with video, he won several Asian short film awards - The 9th Malaysian Video Award 2004 (Gold - Best independent short film), Asian Short Film 2004 (Bronze), Malaysian Shorts Audience Choice Awards 2004(Gold) ,CyberJaya Digital Video Award 2004 ( Best Experimental Video ). He also exhibited his short film, experimental video and music video (National Art Gallery of Kuala Lumpur, Australian Centre for the Moving Image-ACMI Melbourne, Contact 05 Melbourne, Australia, etc).
